LT. Jarred R. Alden is an Operations Officer with the Akron Fire Department. He has been an Officer with the Akron Fire Department for 9 years. He has been a firefighter, with AFD, for 22+ years, a paramedic for 20+ years, and a SWAT Medic for 15+ years with the Akron Police Department. He currently instructs ATIRC/RTF platform trainings for LSU’s NCBRT division. LT. Alden has presented at FDIC, OTOA, JEMS, Ohio State University, EMSPRO, & North Lake Tahoe Fire District Conference. He also sat for an interview with “Behind the Shield” Podcast with James Geering (Episode #495). He was an Arson Investigator for 2 years. He holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Behavioral Sciences from Wright State University in Dayton , OH. and a Baccalaureate Degree in Sociology from Urbana University in Urbana, OH.
