LT. Jarred R. Alden is an Operations Officer with the Akron Fire Department. He has been an Officer with the Akron Fire Department for 7 years. He has been a firefighter, with AFD, for 20+ years, a paramedic for 19+ years, and a SWAT Medic for 15+ years with the Akron Police Department. He currently instructs ATIRC/RTF platform trainings for LSU’s NCBRT division. LT. Alden has presented at FDIC, OTOA, JEMS, Ohio State University, EMSPRO, North Lake Tahoe Fire District Conference held by John Moller, and numerous other venues. He also has a podcast with “Behind the Shield” Podcast with James Geering (Episode #495). He was a rescue/recovery SCUBA Diver for 2 years with the department until he decided to change specialties. He was an Arson Investigator for 2 years and continues to assist the Bureau when needed. He holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Behavioral Sciences from Wright State University in Dayton , OH. and a Baccalorette Degree in Sociology from Urbana University in Urbana, OH. LT.
