Ken Bouvier
Ken Bouvier serves as the Fire Chief at the Westwego, Louisiana Fire Department. He is a paramedic and professional speaker known both nationally/internationally. Serving since 1975 he began his Fire / EMS career as a volunteer firefighter and advanced through the ranks to become a Fire Chief, Executive Chief Officer and Paramedic. He served as Fire Chief for Monsanto for 37 years, and coincidingly, worked for New Orleans EMS for 33 years until he retired in 2019 as Deputy Chief of Operations. While serving New Orleans EMS he commanded major New Orleans events including Mardi Gras, Super Bowls, Hurricanes. He was responsible for managing the crews and appeared on the A&E Television Show NIGHTWATCH. He is the recipient of several prestigious awards including NAEMT of the Year 1989 & the Rocco V. Morando Life Time Achievement Award 2008.
Current serves as Fire Chief at Westwego Fire Department, a Class 2 Combo department located directly across the river from New Orleans.
