Kevin McManus combines more than 35 years of frontline public safety experience with expertise in modern emergency notification technology. As a Senior Technical Account Manager at Everbridge, he helps agencies build and improve alert and warning systems that protect communities before, during, and after emergencies. A U.S. Coast Guard veteran and certified public safety professional, Kevin serves in multiple emergency management and incident communications roles. He brings practical, real-world insight into Everbridge, reverse notifications, the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS), and emergency response.

This presentation will explore how modern mass notification systems, including Everbridge, Reverse 911, and the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS), can rapidly deliver life-saving emergency information to the public and employees. The session will highlight the capabilities of these systems, their role in emergency communications, and best practices for delivering timely, accurate, and actionable alerts before, during, and after emergencies.
Summit speakers will participate in a roundtable discussion addressing flooding disasters across the country from an emergency management perspective. Panelists will share experiences, lessons learned, challenges, and best practices related to flood preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation. The discussion will provide participants with practical insights into how communities and emergency management agencies can better prepare for and respond to significant flooding events.
