Joseph Laucella has served as Emergency Management Director for the Town of Greenwich since 2002 and has over 32 years of public safety experience. He began his career at 16 as a volunteer firefighter and EMT and currently serves as Assistant Chief of Echo Hose Ambulance in Shelton, CT. A former Chief of Trumbull EMS, Joe has worked across multiple emergency services roles, combining field operations with leadership. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Justice and Law Administration and has completed advanced FEMA and Emergency Management Institute training, including the National Emergency Management Advanced Academy. Actively involved in statewide coordination, he serves on the Connecticut EMS Advisory Committee, the Connecticut IMT, and REPT Training Committees for Regions 1 and 2. Joe is also a founding member and longtime Exhibit Hall Coordinator for the EMS & FIRE PRO Expo, a leading public safety conference in the Northeast.
