Joan Zanotti received her MSN degree for Nursing Education from The Ramapo College of New Jersey. Prior to retirement she served as the Clinical Educator for the Emergency Department at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ. At Valley she served on the IMAT (Incident Management Assist Team) and HERT (Hospital Emergency Response Team) teams in addition to her ER Nursing duties. Joan is certified as an ICS instructor and is working part-time for NJOEM. She recently became a NJ Certified Emergency Manager. This past January she accepted a position on the NAEMT emergency preparedness committee. Joan has been a member of the Glen Rock Volunteer Ambulance Corp for over 40 Years. During that time, she has served as Captain, Chair of the Emergency Preparedness Committee, and Training officer among other positions held. She has received extensive Incident Command System (ICS) training and has planned and/or participated in numerous training exercises.
