“Regardless of your certification level, there is a very important question that needs to be asked: Is the patient sick, or not sick? How do you make that decision? Can a First Responder make that determination? What about a BLS provider or an ALS provider? Is the answer the same regardless of your certification level? And what is the even more important question that needs to be asked about the patient’s condition?
This session will briefly review patient assessment and provide objective tools to help you make that decision at the First Responder, EMT, and Paramedic levels. The presentation will also guide you in providing a more coherent and effective report to providers delivering higher levels of care, especially when caring for those truly sick patients.”
