Bob Page is an internationally recognized speaker, instructor, author, and paramedic known for his energetic, humorous, and motivational teaching style. Danger, Hiding in Plain Sight! (Thursday, October 22, 2026 - 9:45-11:00am)

In our basic arrhythmia courses in medic class, nursing, AEMT, or even ACLS, we are taught about four heart blocks: first degree, two second-degree blocks, and third degree. Of those four, only two are typically considered dangerous and associated with contraindications or significant safety concerns related to anti-arrhythmia medications. But is that all there is to know? When reviewing a 12-lead ECG, there are additional conduction abnormalities and blocks that can be just as serious—or even worse—hiding in plain sight. If you are not trained to recognize them, the consequences could be tragic. How Vital are Vital Signs (Saturday, October 24, 2026 - 11:30-12:45pm)

Obtaining a “set of vital signs” is a fundamental skill in EMS—we do it almost without thought. But are you obtaining them correctly? Some providers ask, “What difference does it make what I get as long as the patient looks okay?” or “You can’t get accurate vital signs in the back of the ambulance anyway, right?”

In this revealing session, Bob breaks down proper techniques and highlights the pitfalls and common mistakes many providers encounter when obtaining vital signs. Bob will also review newly published data suggesting that we may need to reconsider how quickly we leave the scene with unstable medical patients.

Through examples, videos, clinical cases, and discussion, participants will gain a better understanding of when vital signs are truly critical and how to refine their assessment skills to improve patient care.
