The Center for Disaster Medicine (CDM) is at the forefront of disaster medicine. Since its founding in 2005, the Center has conducted interdisciplinary research, training, technical assistance, and educational activities related to emergency preparedness for disasters, terrorism, and public health emergencies. By training responders and focusing on vulnerable populations, including children, individuals with disabilities, and older adults, the Center fulfills a unique role in the region as a multidisciplinary academic resource on a broad range of emergency preparedness issues.
