EMS & FIRE PRO Expo exists for one reason: to strengthen the people who show up when their communities need them most. Since our early days as the CT EMS Expo, we’ve grown into one of the fastest-growing EMS and Fire conferences in the country, and with that growth comes a responsibility to measure our impact not just in attendance numbers, but in the skills, connections, and outcomes we help create.
As an Organizational Provider accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Prehospital Continuing Education (CAPCE #EMPRO646), we help First Responders meet real recertification requirements, not just attend a conference. CAPCE-approved sessions are recognized by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT), meaning the hours attendees spend with us translate directly into the credentials they need to keep serving their communities. There’s no cap on the number of CE credits attendees can earn, and CEUs are typically issued within minutes of each session, a small detail that reflects a larger commitment to respecting our attendees’ time.
Impact isn’t abstract to us, it shows up in the stories our attendees share. Providers have told us they’ve walked away from our exhibit hall having discovered new equipment they went on to bring back to their departments and hospitals. New EMTs have described gaining years’ worth of practical knowledge in just a few days. Instructors and presenters return year after year because they see firsthand how their sessions change the way attendees approach patient care in the field.
This is the ripple effect we aim for: knowledge gained at EMS & FIRE PRO Expo doesn’t stay in the conference hall, it goes back to ambulances, fire stations, dispatch centers, and emergency departments across the country.
Recognizing that emergency response isn’t one-size-fits-all, we’ve built dedicated programming to deepen impact in specific areas of critical need:
Our impact extends beyond the expo floor. Through initiatives like the First Responders Golf Tournament, we raise funds that directly support education, training, and outreach efforts for the EMS and Fire Service community. We’ve also mobilized our network in response to broader humanitarian needs, including partnering with Hartford HealthCare to organize medical supply drives supporting EMS colleagues facing shortages abroad.
What started as a regional event in Connecticut now welcomes first responders from all 50 states and countries across multiple continents. Every new state, every new country represented at EMS & FIRE PRO Expo means one more community with better-trained, better-connected, better-equipped responders protecting it. That expanding footprint is the clearest measure of our impact, and it’s one we intend to keep growing.
