Michael Davis serves as the Connecticut State CERT Coordinator and an Emergency Management Program Specialist with DEMHS, providing statewide leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for the CERT program. He approves all CERT activations and works closely with local teams and municipal emergency managers to strengthen readiness and program capabilities across the state.
A strong advocate for training and professional development, Michael created Connecticut’s monthly CERT webinar series, launched a quarterly statewide newsletter, and manages the CT CERT YouTube training library. He also leads CERT Train-the-Trainer programs, workshops, and skills refresher sessions to build instructional capacity and ensure volunteers remain response-ready.
In addition to his state role, Michael serves as the Eastern Representative for the National CERT Association, supporting regional collaboration and the advancement of CERT programs nationwide.
