Stephanie Busch, BS, AEMT is a Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST), and Mental Health First Aid instructor. She has been involved in EMS since 2013 at the national, state and local level. In her current role at the Injury Prevention Manager at the Vermont Department of Health, she actively collaborates with community partners and first responders around opioid overdose prevention, and safety initiatives including highway safety, pediatric safe transport, and suicide prevention. Ms. Busch has been a part of several committees and boards working to improve injury prevention efforts and the integration of pediatrics into EMS systems on both the state and national level. She is a volunteer AEMT with Colchester Rescue in Vermont. Ms. Busch has been a part of several committees and boards working to improve injury prevention efforts and the integration of pediatrics into EMS systems on both the state an national level. She is currently on the NASEMSO ad-hoc Safe Transport of Children Committee and was a part of the group in developing the 2017 NASEMSO Guidance of Safe Transport of Children by EMS, the 2019 update and supporting resources. Ms. Busch has presented on the topic of pediatrics, mental health and safety at various regional, state and national conferences.
