Captain MIKE DALEY has spent over 36 years in the fire service and has held many officer positions in both career and volunteer fire departments. He is currently working as a Captain and Training Officer with Monroe Township Fire District #3 and is a Staff Instructor at multiple NJ Fire Academies. Mike is also serving as a Rescue Officer with the New Jersey Task Force 1 – Urban Search and Rescue team and is a FEMA Lead Rescue Instructor for the FEMA Structural Collapse Rescue Specialist Program for USAR team members. Furthermore, he serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Fire Science Program at Middlesex County College and at Union County College.
Captain Daley holds degrees in Business Management and Public Safety Administration and is a MEMBER (MIFireE) of the Institution of Fire Engineers. Mike became the Nation’s first credentialed MASTER FIRE INSTRUCTOR by the International Society of Fire Service Instructors and has earned the FIRE OFFICER & CHIEF TRAINING OFFICER Accreditations by the Center for Public Safety Excellence. Mike has earned his CRAFTSMAN title with Project Kill the Flashover and holds multiple additional credentials, including the ALL-HAZARD OPERATIONS SECTION CHIEF and HAZ/MAT ON-SCENE INCIDENT COMMANDER. Mike has also earned his credentials as a CERTIFIED FIRE AND EXPLOSION INVESTIGATOR from the National Association of Arson Investigators and as a FIRE INVESTIGATION TECHNICIAN from the International Association of Arson Investigators.
Mike is currently serving as President of Kill the Flashover, a Fire Training and Research group that provides training and support for firefighters and fire departments from around the world. Mike is also the Founder and Managing Member for Fire Service Performance Concepts, a training group that provides formal training and course development for fire departments.
