Dr. Hoffman-Rosenfeld is a Pediatrician and is board certified in the subspecialty field of Child Abuse Pediatrics. She has practiced in this field for over 30 years and most recently served as the Medical Director of the Bronx Child Advocacy Center and Child Abuse Pediatrics consultant for the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore. As the Medical Director of a community based Child Advocacy Center, Dr. Hoffman-Rosenfeld worked closely with the other members of the multi-disciplinary team which included Child Protection, Law Enforcement and First Responders. In addition to her clinical role, education of the other members of the team on Child Abuse topics was an integral part of her position.
Dr. Hoffman-Rosenfeld is currently on the faculty of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and remains actively involved in the education of medical students and physicians in a broad range of topics. Her particular interests are the field of Child Abuse Pediatrics. She has taught and lectured locally, regionally and nationally on the topics of Family Violence, Physical Abuse, Sexual Abuse, and Child Fatalities.
