Stephanie Busch is a volunteer Advanced EMT, Child Passenger Safety Technician, and Mental Health First Aid instructor. She has been involved in EMS since 2013 at the national, state and local level. In her current role at the Injury Prevention Manager at the Vermont Department of Health, she actively collaborates with community partners and first responders around opioid overdose prevention efforts, and on a variety of provider wellness, and safety initiatives including highway safety, pediatric safe transport, and suicide prevention.
Ms. Busch utilizes the Mental Health First Aid program to work with first responders and other community members in Vermont with the prime goal of helping people with identifying when our patients, and our colleagues are struggling with mental health and how to help them.
Ms. Busch has presented on the topic of pediatrics, mental health and safety at various regional, state and national EMS and Highway Safety conferences.
