I started in EMS in 1982 as an EMT with one of the local private ambulance services in Denver and then upon graduating from Boston University with a BA in Psychology, I went to paramedic school under Dr. Gerald Gordon’s expert tutelage and guidance. After Paramedic school graduation I continued working in the Denver Metro region as a Nationally Registered paramedic and instructor for several private and public agencies, Flight for Life aeromedical service, volunteer Fire Fighter /Paramedic with Parker Fire Protection District, adjunct faculty for Front Range Community College EMS Department, primary instructor for Denver Health EMT-Basic and Paramedic School, and most recently with Centura Health – South Denver Group Prehospital Services Department as the EMS Manager of Education and Training. Additionally, I was a co-founder/ owner of Pridemark Paramedic Services in Arvada, CO until it was sold in 2010. I have been active in teaching at the ALS and BLS levels for over 32 years. I currently reside in Parker, Colorado with my wife Jan and our two college students/ children; Halee and Ryan. When not working or referring soccer games I enjoy golfing, softball, skiing, and hunting.
