We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in CT that provides peer-to-peer mental health assistance to first responders, active military personnel and veterans (regardless of discharge status) free of charge. We are, essentially, the "battle buddies" of mental health, there when our peers need someone to off-load onto who has "been there/ done that" and understands the trauma and stress associated with being a first responder/ military, but may not be at the point of needing a clinician. If more advanced mental health respurces are needed, we act as "resource brokers" assisting in finding first responder/ military specific resources such as clinicians, drug/ alcohol rehab programs and psychiatric retreats and programs. To date we have assisted over 60 calls for service acdoss 3 states. We are available 24/7/365 via our hotline or email. Our team is comprised entirely of volunteers and is run solely on fundraising events and donations.
